Hos Arne welcomes different forms of art and perspectives. We are delighted to present an exhibition in our living room with new works by Mette Greftegreff - a self made artist who works with both traditional forms of painting and NFTs. The exhibition will be followed by a talk and debate.

The new physical works exhibited by Mette Greftegreff are derivates from one of her previous series of NTFs. As an artist Mette Greftegreff defines herself as both a painter, illustrator and NFT-artist.

While traditional painting is a well renowned and accepted form of art, NFTs as a new form and medium has got a bad reputation. Is it art? Is it technology? Is it purely capitalistic and shallow? Is it conceptual? Or deceiving? Liberating? Why NFT? Is it the new, free art world? Who defines what’s good art, what’s relevant contemporary art? What defines value in art? Who’s the NFT artists vs the traditional artist? Who’s the NFT buyers and traders vs the traditional art collector? Will it last? Is it The New?

At Arne’s we are more concerned with raising questions and getting people to talk, rather than to push opinions or NFTs. Our place is a cultural hub/space, rather than a traditional gallery. Hos Arne is more than just a white cube.

Let’s talk views on art & tech! Let’s talk investment in art & tech!

Hos Arne we aim to make room for new and exciting perspectives. We want to invite journalists, gallerists, artists, traders, the curious, the experts, the skeptics and the enthusiasts, to join in on a both educational, bold and open talk/debate.

The talk will be held in our living room surrounded by new paintings by Mette Greftegreff, curated as an intimate art exhibition. Mette Greftegreff will be the IRL image of an artist that is excited to be emerging in both the physical and digital-virtual art world, as well as co-hosting the debate.

All paintings are signed originals and for sale. A series of editional prints will be available for sale as both physical works and NFTs.

About Mette Greftegreff’s work -

The new physical works exhibited by Mette Greftegreff are derivates from one of her previous series of NTFs. What originally was a monochrome collection of 12 pieces, turned over time into colorful and less rigid works. Mette Greftegreff draws lines in her works between two reflective thoughts, one that express the continuous development that’s a part of life, and one that shows the often contradictory traits of ones personality. The serious and the playful, or the conforming and unexpected. The contrasts between where we started and where we are headed, and what or who we are in one situation to another. She thinks equal parallels can be drawn to the global art scene at the moment, where the two contrasting components are the traditional art world, representing a form of conformity and rigidity, and the NFTs more unexpected, transparent and (for some) transformative space.

As an artist Mette Greftegreff defines herself as both a painter, illustrator and NFT-artist.

The talk will be held in English.
